EXCUSE THE MESS!!!

Please excuse the clutter here at the blog right now. I am in the process of redesigning it for easier access so please bear with me. Most of the old recipes are still here (for my old followers) and I am working on a complete new format, which I hope will make it easy to find stuff quickly.

Remember if a recipe has the letters T-A-O attached to it anywhere, it is one of my personal exclusives.

Thanks!!!

T~A~O

At my farm, we grew many, many kinds of lettuce. Our customers couldn't wait until it cooled off and the greens started coming in.  Here are some examples of the varieties that we thought were the best.  I have posted pictures where I had them available. The list shows the name, a brief description and when they were available.

THE LETTUCES

Colors range from the reddest reds to the brightest greens, speckles,
or even speckled. The leaves may be ruffled, tinged with pink, curly and flat. Varieties marked with an * may be produced as single heads or in mixed lettuces.

Wild Garden Lettuce Mix

Wild and domesticated varieties. Some are slightly bitter. In Europe and other cultures, bitter
greens are staples of a healthy palate.

BACK TO OUR ROOTS

Root crops can come in any season. Some are grown only in
cooler weather to prevent stringiness from dryness or heat. Exception
